The City of Reading announced Saturday evening that the Reading Parking Authority will open parking garages to provide parking relief to City residents during the forecasted snowfall and resulting clean-up period.
Parking at Reading Parking Authority garages will be free to City residents from 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2024 through 8:00 AM on Monday, January 8. City residents are encouraged to move their vehicles to a garage so snowplows can clean the streets as effectively as possible.
City crews will continue to address roadways and public properties. Reading Parking Authority crews are assisting in snow removal by cleaning areas in the Downtown to ensure safe travel for patrons, pedistrians and businesses.
Mayor Moran is encourage everyone to stay home, if possible, and be good neighbors to each other. Be patient, kind, and look out for each other.
