Albright College has named STUNT as a new athletic offering, beginning with the spring 2025 season. STUNT is one of the fastest growing female sports in the country. A search for the program’s first head coach begins immediately.
STUNT is a new female sport that incorporates skills derived from cheerleading. It is an exciting head-to-head game between two teams who execute skill-based routines in various categories including partner stunts, jumps and tumbling, pyramids, tosses and team routines.
“STUNT is growing rapidly across the country, and we are thrilled to be adding the sport to Albright’s intercollegiate athletics,” said Albright Athletic Director Rick Ferry. “We look forward to competing in STUNT as well as enhancing our cheer and dance teams.”
More than a third of Albright students participate on one of the college’s 23 varsity sports teams, ranging from football to eSports. The red and white Albright Lions are part of the historic Division III, Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC). An additional 10% of students participate in club or intramural sports.
