Evelyn Magley, CEO of The Basketball League, recently announced the “Reading Rebels” as the latest expansion market for the league in 2022.

“We are excited to announce we are going to bring Professional Basketball to the Santander arena in Reading, PA” said co-owner Jonathan Gross in a statement.

“The ink just dried on the contracts for myself and 3 other owners: Daniel Santos , Alex Bernhard , Mugga Marable. This has been a long time in the works and we were finally able to make it happen! More announcements to come in the coming weeks!”

As Reading is located half way between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Magley believes the Reading Rebels will tie in nicely with teams in New York, and their plans for further expansion on the east coast.

“As a league this young, diverse group of Team Market Owners bring a level of excitement and energy that should translate well in our community focused league” said Evelyn Magley CEO TBL.
