Twin Valley Youth Cheer team concludes winning season as national champions

​​The 22-23 Twin Valley Youth Cheer team is comprised of twelve student athletes in 3rd through 7th grade. On April 7th, 2023, they competed at THE ONE Virginia Beach competition where they received first place and advanced to the Virtual Global Finals to be judged against the top teams in each of THE ONE locations across the US.

With great pride, the organization congratulated and announce that these ladies were crowned first place once again and now hold the title of THE ONE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS for their division- Youth Traditional Rec Level 1.

This title closes the Twin Valley Youth Cheer team’s season with 7 first place wins in addition to being named “Grand Champions” for their level in a previous competition.

Along with their title, each cheerleader was awarded championship medals, rings, jackets, and team banners. Their focus, hard work, and dedication this season was unmatched in Twin Valley Youth Cheer league history. They truly are role models for all of our young cheerleaders.

Board President for the league Mark Mountz had this to say on the team’s success, “I’m so proud of our Youth Cheer Team. Congratulations on a stellar season. What a way to put Twin Valley Youth Cheer at the front of the pack! Thank you to all the Youth Coaches and our Cheer Coordinator, Jasmine Draper for your guidance and efforts!”

The organization thank each young lady, their parents, and competition coaches Andrea Michener and Jillian Ressel for representing Twin Valley on a national stage and bringing home the prestigious recognition to the program.

The team would also like to thank their presenting sponsor for the season, Brodie Generational Capital Partners, for providing the funding to register for THE ONE VA Beach competition.

The Twin Valley Youth Football & Cheer League is a longstanding non-profit organization supporting the successful growth of all young football players and cheerleaders in Twin Valley. The league is home to over 220 athletes across our 11 teams spanning grades Kindergarten through 7th. It is the goal of the league to develop young athletes both on the field with their technical skills and off the field with their mental discipline and confidence.
