PennDOT maintenance forces and private contractors have scheduled several construction projects in Berks County this week. To help our readers avoid travel delays, here are a few of the most notable projects.
In Ruscombmanor Township, utility work at the intersection of PA 12 and PA 73 will result in lane restrictions from August 19, 2024, to August 23, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily. Rain will not cause delays.
In Cumru Borough, US 422 will have eastbound lane restrictions on August 21, 2024, and westbound lane restrictions on August 22, 2024, for bridge inspections between Business Route 222/Bingaman Street and I-176. The restrictions will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and rain may cause delays.
In Reading, US 422 will have right lane closures on August 19 and 20, 2024, for bridge inspections between Business US 222 and I-176. The eastbound right lane will be closed on Monday, August 19, and the westbound right lane on Tuesday, August 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Rain may cause delays.
In Richmond Township, Maidencreek Road will have lane restrictions with flagging between PA 662 and PA 73 from August 19, 2024, to August 20, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and rain may cause delays.
In Perry Township, Windsor Castle Road will have lane restrictions with flagging between PA 662/Moselem Spring Road and Windsor Castle Road from August 21, 2024, to August 22, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and rain may cause delays.
In Richmond Township, Church Hill Road will have lane restrictions with flagging between Maidencreek Road and PA 662 on August 23, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and rain may cause delays.
In Ruscombmanor Township, PA 662 will have lane closures with flagging between Pricetown Road and Park Road for brush cutting from August 19, 2024, to August 23, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, and rain may cause delays.
In various townships, PA 562 will undergo crack sealing between Boyertown Borough and Yellow House from August 19, 2024, to August 23, 2024. Lane closures with flagging will be in effect from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM nightly. Rain may cause delays.
In Ruscombmanor Township, Pricetown Road will have lane closures with flagging between Oley Furnace Road and Forgedale Road from August 19, 2024, to August 23, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, and rain may cause delays.
In Maxatawny and Greenwich Townships, PA 737/Krumsville Road will have lane restrictions with flagging between Sweet Corn Road and Zettlemoyer Road from August 28, 2024, to August 29, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and rain will not cause delays.
