Construction, brush cutting: PennDOT upcoming roadwork March 10, 2025

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has released details on multiple roadwork projects scheduled to take place across Berks County between March 10 and March 14, 2025. Motorists should prepare for lane restrictions and possible delays in several areas and are advised to drive with caution through the work zones.

Construction will take place on Interstate 78 between Exit 29 (PA 61) and Exit 30 (Hamburg). Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions during nighttime hours from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The work is scheduled to begin on March 10 and is expected to be completed by March 13. PennDOT has confirmed that rain will not cause delays for this project.

In Tilden Township, construction will occur on PA 61 between Blue Mountain Drive and Interstate 78. A lane restriction will be in place in both directions from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, beginning March 10 and concluding on March 13. Rain is not expected to impact the project schedule.

Brush cutting will take place along Interstate 78 between the Lebanon County Line and Exit 23 (Shartlesville) in Bethel Township. While no lane restrictions will be in place, delays are expected. The work is scheduled from March 10 through March 13 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and rain may cause delays.

In Heidelberg Township, PennDOT maintenance forces will be performing brush cutting along US 422/Conrad Weiser Parkway between the Lebanon County Line and Bernville Road. This work will take place on March 14 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. There will be no lane restrictions, but motorists should expect delays. Rain may impact the schedule.

Brush cutting will also take place along Interstate 78 West between Exit 30 (Hamburg) and Exit 35 (PA 143) in Tilden and Windsor Townships. While no lane restrictions will be in place, delays are expected. The work is set to occur from March 10 through March 13 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and rain may cause schedule changes.

In Tilden Township, brush cutting is planned for PA 61 between the Schuylkill County Line and Lowland Road. A northbound lane restriction will be in effect on March 14 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Drivers should expect delays and use caution in the area. Rain may affect the work schedule.

Brush cutting operations will be conducted on Summer Mountain Road between PA 183 and PA 419 in Tulpehocken and Jefferson Townships. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in effect during daytime hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from March 10 through March 12. Motorists should expect delays and drive cautiously through the work zone. Rain may impact the schedule.

In Bern Township, brush cutting will take place on Rebers Bridge Road between Palisades Drive and Upper Van Reed Road. A lane restriction with flagging will be in effect from March 13 to March 14 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day. Delays are expected, and rain may impact the work schedule.

PennDOT maintenance forces will also be working in Greenwich Township on PA 737/Krumsville Road between Old Route 22 and Zettlemoyer Road. No lane restrictions will be in place, but motorists should anticipate delays. The work will take place from March 10 through March 14 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and rain may cause delays.
