PennDOT maintenance forces and private contractors have scheduled several construction projects in Berks County this week. To help our readers avoid travel delays, here are a few of the most notable projects.
In Ruscombmanor Township, utility work at the intersection of PA 12 and PA 73 will cause lane restrictions from August 12, 2024, to August 16, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily. Rain will not cause delays.
In Reading, US 422 will have right lane closures on August 19 and 20, 2024, for bridge inspections between Business US 222 and I-176. The eastbound right lane will be closed on Monday, August 19, and the westbound right lane on Tuesday, August 20. The restrictions will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and rain may cause delays.
In Perry Township, lane restrictions with flagging will be in place on PA 662 (Moselem Spring Road) between PA 61 and US 222 from August 12, 2024, to August 15, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, and rain may cause delays.
In Ontelaunee Township, Maidencreek Road will have lane restrictions with flagging between PA 662 and PA 73 on August 16, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Rain may cause delays.
In Colebrookdale Township, Powder Mill Hollow Road will have lane closures with flagging between Laurel Road and Mountain Road on August 12, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Rain may cause delays.
In Ruscombmanor Township and Fleetwood Borough, PA 662 will have lane closures with flagging between Pricetown Road and Park-Fleetwood Avenue for brush cutting from August 13, 2024, to August 16, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, and rain may cause delays.
In Ruscombmanor Township, PA 12 will have lane closures with flagging between PA 73 and PA 662 from August 12, 2024, to August 16, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, and rain may cause delays.
In Shillington Borough, US 422 westbound will have nighttime lane restrictions for test boring work between I-176 and Business Route 422 from August 11, 2024, to August 16, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM daily, and rain will not cause delays.
In Pike Township, Oysterdale Road will have lane restrictions with flagging on August 13, 2024, between Rohrbach Road/Hill Church Road and Keim Road. A private contractor will be performing driveway work from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Rain may cause delays, so please expect possible disruptions and exercise caution when driving through the work zone.
In Oley Township, Oley Turnpike Road will undergo crack sealing between Limekiln Road and Coverage Bridge Road from August 12, 2024, to August 16, 2024. The work will take place at night from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, but there will be no restrictions. However, drivers are advised to use caution while passing through the area. Rain may cause delays.
