Drainage, shoulder widening, crack sealing: PennDOT upcoming roadwork July 24, 2026

Forgedale Road – Washington Township: Drainage work will take place on Forgedale Road between County Line Road and Miller Road from July 28 through July 31. The road will be closed and detoured daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. while PennDOT maintenance crews complete the work. Route 419 – Tulpehocken Township: PennDOT maintenance crews will perform shoulder work and widening on Route 419 between the Lancaster County line and Rehrersburg Road on July 27 and 28. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Drivers should expect delays, use caution in the work zone, and be aware that rain may delay the project.

Christmas Village Road – Jefferson Township: Shoulder work and widening is scheduled on Christmas Village Road between Route 419 and North Heidelberg Road on July 29 and 30. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. while PennDOT maintenance crews work. Motorists should expect delays, use caution, and note that rain may postpone the work.

North Heidelberg Road – North Heidelberg Township: PennDOT maintenance crews will conduct shoulder work and widening on North Heidelberg Road between Route 183 and U.S. 422 on July 31. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drivers should expect delays, proceed with caution through the work zone, and be aware that rain may delay the project.
