Police are investigating a crash that resulted in the roll over of a fire truck Wednesday afternoon on Route 222 in Maidencreek Township.
The accident happened at the intersection of Route 222 and Pleasant Hill road. A tractor trailer heading North on 222 collided with a Walnuttown Fire Company tanker truck, which lead the tanker truck to overturn.
222 was closed for two hours between Route 73 and Route 662 as crews worked to clear the roadway.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Northern Berks Regional Police.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital. Initial reports indicate it was for minor injuries.
