Motorcyclist Flown to Hospital After Hit and Run Accident

Emergency crews responded to a traffic accident Saturday evening involving an SUV and motorcycle at the intersection of PA Route 143 and Balthaser Road in Windsor Township.

The initial call stated the SUV fled the scene of the accident. Due to severe injuries, the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital by the Lehigh Valley Health Network MedEvac helicopter.

Minutes after the accident, dispatchers received a call about a smoking SUV in Maxatawny Township, which matched the description of the vehicle which left the scene of the accident. Located on 222 South just prior to the Crystal Cave exit, the SUV showed front end damage. The driver was not with the vehicle.
