Bridge repair work is scheduled to begin Monday, April 14 on US 422 Eastbound between the Penn Street and Lancaster Avenue exits, according to a release from the City of Reading.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will conduct the work daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. through Friday, April 18. Eastbound lane restrictions will be in place during those hours.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and use caution when traveling through the area. The repairs are weather dependent and may be postponed in the event of rain.
The City of Reading is encouraging drivers to plan ahead and thanked the public for their patience as PennDOT completes the project.
