PennDOT maintenance forces and private contractors are consistently working on roads in Berks County. To help our readers avoid travel delays, here are a few of the most notable roadwork projects scheduled the next week.
PennDOT Bridge Inspection Forces will be working on 222 South in Bern Township between PA 61 (Pottsville Pike) and PA 183 (Bernville Road). Daytime lane restriction. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone. Inspection will begin 12/1/20 with an estimated completion date of December 3rd and 2nd, 9am to 3pm.
PennDOT Maintenance Forces will be working on Walnut Street in the City of Reading between Schuylkill Avenue and Eleventh Street for crack sealing. Daytime lane restriction. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone. Road work will begin on December 1st and will be completed by December 3rd, 7am to 3pm.

PennDOT Maintenance Forces will be working in Marion Township and Womelsforf Borough on 422 \ Conrad Weiser Parkway West between PA 419/Rehrersburg Road and Sheridan Road for brush cutting. Daytime lane restriction. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone. Roadwork will begin November 30th and be completed December 4th, 7am to 3pm.
A PennDOT Contractor will be working on Route 12 between Route 61 and Spring Valley Road for general construction. Daytime lane restriction for concrete patching work. This is part of the ongoing Route 12 project. Please use caution. Construction will begin on December 1st and is estimated to be completed December 4th, 4am to 3pm. 12/1/20.
