The City of Reading has announced a temporary lane closure on the northbound lane of N. 5th Street, specifically on the 300 block between Elm Street and Buttonwood Street. This closure is scheduled for Thursday, May 16th, and Friday, May 17th, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day.
To alleviate potential traffic disruptions, the City is advising motorists to use N. 6th Street to access Buttonwood Street, which provides an alternate route to reconnect with N. 5th Street northbound. This detour aims to reduce traffic congestion and ensure a smooth flow of vehicles during the closure period.
