Roadwork to begin on PA 737 in Maxatawny and Greenwich Townships

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Thursday work is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 25th on a project to improve PA 737 between Eagle Point Road and Zettlemoyer Road in Maxatawny and Greenwich townships.

Work on the project includes roadway milling, road base repair, paving, guide rail updates, and pavement markings.

Motorists should expect nighttime (7PM to 5AM) lane restrictions on this section of PA 737. Updates will be provided whenever traffic patterns change.

New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc. of New Enterprise, Pa. is the general contractor on the $2.1 million project that is anticipated to be complete in October 2022.

This section of PA 737 has an average daily traffic volume that ranges from 5,985 vehicles in the southbound section to 6,349 vehicles in the northern section.
