U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) joined PA Senator Judy Schwank (D-SD-11) and Christopher Kufro, Acting District 5 Executive of PennDOT Friday morning to highlight $11,990,919 from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to fund the resurfacing of the Warren Street Bypass, a vital thoroughfare on Route 12.
The improvements will make the road safer and improve travel between Reading and Wyomissing Borough while lowering motorists’ vehicle maintenance costs by reducing their wear and tear.
Construction will also include work to prevent structural deterioration of two area bridges.
To date, the infrastructure law has invested tens of millions into improving the transportation infrastructure of Berks County and the surrounding region.
