Tractor Trailer Fire Shuts Down I-178 Near Lenhartsville

UPDATE I-78 has been reopened

I-78 has been shut down in both directors Monday morning following a tractor trailer crash which resulted in cab catching fire. The accident happened just after 9:30am, near the Lenhartsville/ PA 143 exit.

Emergency crews on scene report the tractor trailer hit the center median barrier, causing debris to fall across the highway. Traffic in both directions is shut down from exit 30 (Hamburg) and exit 40 (Krumsville).

No reports of injuries.
