Utility maintenance, paving work: PennDOT upcoming roadwork Sept. 3, 2024

PennDOT maintenance forces and private contractors have scheduled several construction projects in Berks County this week. To help our readers avoid travel delays, here are a few of the most notable projects.

In Ruscombmanor Township, utility work at the intersection of PA 12 and PA 73 will result in lane restrictions from September 3, 2024, to September 6, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily. Rain will not cause delays.

In Ruscombmanor Township, Pricetown Road will have lane closures in both directions between Oley Furnace Road and Forgedale Road from September 3, 2024, to September 6, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, and rain may cause delays.

In Muhlenberg and Bern Townships, US 222 northbound will have lane restrictions for paving work between the Spring Ridge Exit and PA 61 from September 4, 2024, to September 6, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM nightly, and rain may cause delays.

In Oley Township, PA 562 will undergo crack sealing between Boyertown Borough and Yellow House from September 3, 2024, to September 6, 2024. Lane restrictions with flagging will be in effect from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM nightly. This is a moving operation, and rain may cause delays.

In various townships, US 222 will have lane closures with flagging between the Lancaster County Line and the Lehigh County Line from September 3, 2024, to September 6, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, and rain may cause delays. This is also a moving operation.

In Albany Township, Stony Run Valley Road will have lane restrictions with flagging between PA 737/Krumsville Road and PA 143 from September 3, 2024, to September 4, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and rain may cause delays.

Also in Albany Township, Kistler Valley Road will have lane restrictions with flagging between PA 737/Krumsville Road and the Lehigh County Line on September 5, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and rain may cause delays.

Wessnersville Road in Albany Township will have lane restrictions with flagging between PA 737/Krumsville Road and the Lehigh County Line on September 6, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and rain may cause delays.

In Bethel, Upper Tulpehocken, and Upper Bern Townships, Interstate 78 East will have lane restrictions in both directions for milling and paving work between the Lebanon County Line and Exit 23 (Shartlesville) from September 3, 2024, to September 7, 2024. The restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM nightly. Rain will not cause delays.
