The Reading Area Water Authority has announced it will begin flushing the water distribution system via hydrant flushing beginning Monday April 26, 2021 through Friday April 30, 2021.
Hydrant flushing is expected to take place north city line to Walnut Street and North 8th Street, North 9th Street eastward to Hampden Boulevard & North 13th Street.

RAWA officials say short-term, low water pressure, and discolored water may be experienced during this time.
The water system should return to normal 30 minutes after flushing is completed in your area.
