Water Main Break in Reading Leaves 2,000 with Boil Water Advisory

UPDATE 7/18/19 The Boil Water notice for the Kenhorst, 18th Ward and Millmont area from Monday has been lifted.

An early morning water main break behind the Reading IMAX movie theater has has left roughly 2,000 customers with a boil water advisory Tuesday. The 16″ main feeds Millmont, sections of the 18th Ward in Reading, and the Borough of Kenhorst.

The water main is currently being repaired on River Road. In a news release Reading Area Water Authority says once the repairs are made testing will begin, and affected customers will be notified of the boil water lift.

The boil water advisory is in effect for three days.
