The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for portions of east central and northeast Pennsylvania, including the Counties of Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton, Carbon and Monroe.
The Flash Flood Watch begins 2pm Wednesday afternoon to 8am Thursday morning.
Potential hazards include: Several instances of flooding are possible, especially in urban and poor-drainage areas and near vulnerable small creeks and streams.
Heavy rainfall associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Fred will move into the area Wednesday afternoon and evening. Forecast rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts possible.
If you see a road that is flooded do not drive through, turn around and find another route to travel.
