WEEU Hosting Fireworks Display at Pagoda for July 4th

The pandemic may be cancelling all sorts of events this year, but the annual fireworks at the Pagoda will continue this year thanks to Twilight Broadcasting’s, 830 WEEU.

Radio station owner Bob Lowe announced WEEU will host a special live broadcast from the Pagoda beginning at 7pm, with host Michael Anthony Smith and Vickie Madden with music from the Eric Cowalla Duo.

Fireworks are expected to be launched at 10pm on July 4th from the Skyline drive near the Pagoda.

The fireworks broadcast will be accompanied by music from the Erich Cawalla duo, playing from 8pm to 10pm, including live fireworks music. The evening will also include special guests and information on the Pagoda.

To make the night a “Family Friendly” social distancing event, WEEU is encouraging listeners not to drive to the Pagoda, instead find a safe location to watch and tune into 830 WEEU over the air, the tune in app or online at www.830weeu.com.

Due to the current restrictions the Pagoda will not be open to the public. The City of Reading Police Department and Fire Department will be on-site to limit access to Skyline Drive to ensure public safety.
