The Wyomissing Public Library has introduced an exciting new service for residents of Wyomissing, Wyomissing Hills, and West Reading. Effective immediately, library volunteers will deliver and pick up library materials for individuals unable to visit the library due to illness, disability, transportation challenges, or caregiving responsibilities. This free service is designed to ensure that all community members have access to the library’s extensive collection.
To qualify for the service, residents must hold a Wyomissing Public Library card or apply for one. Once registered, users can request materials by phone or online at www.wyopublib.org. Deliveries will take place on Tuesdays, weather permitting, with requests due by 5 PM on Mondays.
Eligible items for home delivery include a wide variety of library materials, such as: Fiction and non-fiction books, including large print editions, Audiobooks, Magazines, Music CDs and Videos.
Borrowers may request up to 10 items at a time, with a maximum of 5 DVDs or CDs and 5 magazines per delivery.
To enroll in the service or place a request, residents can contact the library by phone during operating hours: Monday–Friday: 10 AM–6 PM and Saturday: 10 AM–3 PM.
While the service is limited to Wyomissing, Wyomissing Hills, and West Reading for now, it builds on the library’s successful delivery and pickup service offered to residents of The Highlands at Wyomissing over the past 15 months.
