The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation has received $10,000 from Berks Community Action Program (BCAP) that will further aid in their mission “to inspire lifelong learners by providing award-winning interactive STEM lessons to students regardless of their socio-economic status.” Both organizations are looking forward to establishing a long lasting partnership.
The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation is looking forward to expanding their reach. Tina Krall, Executive Director of The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation says, “Berks Community Action Program (BCAP) has been a key collaborator to many organizations in Berks County and we look forward to working with such an empowering organization. Science Explorers, who is powered by The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation has played a vital role in establishing this partnership. “Science Explorers is incredibly grateful to our partnership with Berks Community Action Program (BCAP)” said Alec Reinert, Director of Business Development & Operations at Science Explorers expresses.
“BCAP has long been recognized as a strong pillar of community support for so many across our local communities and we appreciate their support with our educational outreach efforts to provide thousands of youth with hands on, inquiry based, and award winning curriculum. We look forward to continuing to impact the lives of young minds through this partnership that allows us to engage youth through education and fun” said Reinert.
All of this is possible thanks to Berks Community Action Program (BCAP). Stephan Fains, Community Outreach Specialist of BCAP says, “STEM and STEAM is the future of young minds. Especially for those kids in poverty. Education is the key to help breaking the cycle and what S.P.A.R.K.S. is doing aligns perfectly with BCAP’s mission.”
