Muhlenberg Junior High School is preparing to bring a little magic to the stage this fall with its upcoming production of Mary Poppins, Jr., opening Thursday, November 21.
The musical will transport audiences to Cherry Tree Lane, where the iconic, “practically perfect” nanny arrives to set things right for the Banks family. Featuring beloved songs, energetic choreography, and a cast of talented student performers, the show promises to be a family-friendly event for all ages.
Performances are scheduled for Thursday, November 21, at 7 p.m., and Friday, November 22, at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. All shows will take place at Muhlenberg Junior High School. Tickets are available online at www.muhlenbergjuniorhighschool.ludus.com or at the door, while supplies last.
“This show is full of heart, humor, and a little bit of magic,” said Michael Arndt, the production’s director. “Our students have worked incredibly hard to bring this story to life, and we can’t wait to share it with the community.”
The production continues the school’s tradition of staging popular musicals each year, giving students the opportunity to explore their creativity while developing teamwork and confidence. Recent shows have included Moana Jr., Beauty and the Beast Jr., Lion King Jr., and Hairspray Jr.
Community members are encouraged to attend and support the young performers. Organizers say audiences can expect a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious experience.
