Back in October, the City of Reading announced it was challenging the public to help design a new logo for the City. On Monday, City Officials posted the finalists of the competition to social media to gather feedback from the community.
“We are so proud to be a City full of creative, bright, and talented individuals! This contest is representative of a more collaborative, inclusive, and creative Reading” stated a post to Facebook.
A judging panel made up of members of the City Council, City residents, and local artists is expected to choose the final winner in January.

Artists were allowed to submit up to three entries, with the winner being highlighted on the City’s website, recognized at a City Council meeting, and awarded a $500 prize.
“As I have mentioned before, I want to become the biggest ambassador for the City and a logo is a key component of branding that will help me promote the City” said Mayor Eddie Moran.
