The Caernarvon Township Police Department is investigating a robbery incident that occurred at Wal-Mart, 100 Crossing Blvd., Elverson, within Caernarvon Township. This robbery happened on Wednesday, April 17th 2019 between 6:20 pm and 6:45 pm. The female actor went to the customer service desk and asked to purchase a gift card. When the associate opened the drawer to take the customer’s money, the woman proceeded to confuse the associate with a back and forth exchange of money before reaching over and grabbing a wad of bills from the till. The man with the female suspect distracted another employee a few feet away. The employee and female actor struggled over the money, but the actors fled with a large sum of money. The is no suspect vehicle description at this time.
The woman was described as a white female wearing a black Nike hat, black Adidas track suit, sunglasses, ponytail, long dark hair, spoke with an Italian accent and is about 5′ 6” tall. The white male suspect was wearing a greenish/black baseball cap, grey sweat shirt & grey sweat pants, was about 6’ tall and also spoke with an accent.
Anyone with information pertaining to this robbery incident or can identify either suspect or a possible suspect vehicle is asked to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Alert Berks County.
