46-year-old Harrison Adu Boakye has been charged with aggravated assault following the death of a 33-year old woman in Fleetwood, announced the Berks County District Attorney’s Office.
At approximately 8:25am on July 7, 2023, the Fleetwood Police Department was dispatched to a 911 call regarding a domestic situation in the 000 block of Middletown Road in Fleetwood. Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old female who was unresponsive inside a residence. Life saving measures were initiated by responding officers and EMS personnel but failed.
The coroner was contacted and subsequently pronounced the female victim deceased.
An investigation was initiated by the Berks County District Attorney Detectives. The defendant was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault. He was transported to the Berks County Sheriffs for processing and arraignment is pending.
The investigation is ongoing, and an autopsy is scheduled.
