The Berks County District Attorney’s office announced Tuesday that another defendant has been taken into custody in Operation Caribbean Snowfall, which was announced last Thursday by District Attorney John Adams at a press conference.
Brigido Casilla-Cabral (defendant #24) surrendered to detectives at their office Tuesday, December 6, 2022. He is currently being processed and awaiting arraignment at the Berks County Sheriff’s Department intake and processing center.
Three additional defendants were taken into custody late Thursday, December 1, 2022. Defendant #14 – Richard Rivera Maldonado (Age 49), Jason McGettigan (Age 25), and Zuleslie Hernandez-Rosado (Age 29).
John Adams and Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele made the announcement Thursday that twenty-seven defendants were charged with operating a large-scale drug trafficking organization in Berks, Montgomery, and other surrounding counties.

Investigators say six defendants still remain at large, they are: Juan Ortiz, age 38, Arnaldo Rodriguez-Rosario, age 30, Miguel Cruz-Ortiz, age 34, Stephen Santiago, age 49, Roberto Cruz-Rodriguez, age 52, Ramon Cruz-Cruz, age 35.
The defendants were charged with committing offenses involving violations of the PA Crimes Code and the PA Controlled Substance Act, delivery of controlled substances which included bulk amounts of heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activity, corrupt organization, and criminal use of communication facility.
