Reading Police Investigate Shooting on South 10th Street, 2 Injured

Reading Police are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday night on South 10th Street between Cherry Street and Penn Street, around 8:12pm.

According to Police, officers located a 20 year old male victim with a gunshot wound to the foot and an 18 year old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso area. Both men were transported to Reading Hospital for treatment of their injuries, non-life-threatening and severe, respectively.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that an unidentified suspect fired multiple rounds at a group of individuals in front of a residence in the 000 Block of South 10th Street then fled north on South 10th Street.

Authorities say there is no description of the shooter at this time and that the incident appears to be targeted toward the residence/group that was shot at and not a random incident.
