Owner Maria Aguilar, driven by a dream to create a charming local restaurant, shares, “I had a dream to open a family-friendly restaurant, where mothers can come enjoy a meal with their family at a place with a nice atmosphere.”
Aguilar draws inspiration from her kids, aiming to recreate the warmth of home-cooked meals. In her words, “I was inspired by my kids. The times we would go out to eat, they would ask to eat at home because they thought the food was better. Using fresh ingredients to make authentic meals, made from scratch, is important to us, just like it was cooked at home.”
Business partners Maria Aguilar and Pablo Lopez are not only opening the doors of Xolo Itzcuintle Mexican Restaurant and Sports Bar but also stepping into the shoes of the building’s previous owner. Having purchased the property, Aguilar and Lopez are continuing the legacy of the previous proprietor, who ran a restaurant at the location for an impressive 45 years. The acquisition not only included the building but also the restaurant equipment within, providing Aguilar and Lopez with a unique opportunity to realize their dreams.
