After selling out of her signature cake jars on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, Ashley Bennett, owner of The Jar Bar in Mohnton, was ready for a rest at the beginning of the month.
However, with Spring holidays, warmer weather, and an exciting partnership with new neighboring restaurant Briano’s Italiano all on the horizon, Bennett is excited to see what 2021 has in store.
While many local restaurants and shops are doing special things to celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend, The Jar Bar and Briano’s Italiano are in a unique position to partner together to create the perfect romantic date night deal: $10 heart shaped pizzas from Briano’s, and a set of three pick-your-own cake jars in a beautiful wooden basket (not to mention a free rose!) from The Jar Bar for only $20.
“You can get dinner and dessert!” said Bennett, enthusiastically noting the great price for the deal. The Valentine’s Day deal will be available from Saturday 2/13-Sunday 2/14.
In addition, Bennett is already planning on partnering with Briano’s Italiano again for an Easter craft vendor event to be held on Saturday, March 27.
Highlighting the incredible success of their Halloween craft vendor event, which featured a variety of local artisans and trick-or-treating for kids, Bennett was enthusiastic about hosting a similar event once the weather is warmer.
“We have a huge parking lot,” she said, noting that, since the lot is shared with Briano’s, it makes teaming up for events even more ideal. “It’s free for vendors to participate,” she added, noting that there are 17 vendor spots currently available, and only 7 are filled at this time.
While 2020 was definitely a challenging year to start a business, Bennett is grateful for all of the support from the community thus far, and is eager to begin restocking her shelves. “It’s good to be getting back into things,” she said.
