County Buildings in Berks Closed Monday due to Heavy Snowfall

The Berks County Commissioners and President Judge Thomas G. Parisi have decided to close all County buildings on Monday, Feb. 1, due to the ongoing severe snowstorm.

Due to the expected duration of the storm, County officials will keep a close eye on what develops throughout Monday and make a decision that evening regarding operations on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

These closures do not apply to the County’s 24/7 operations. Employees of 24/7 operations should follow their department’s inclement weather policy.

Many county departments and staff will continue to work remotely during the building closure.

In addition, all County Park area parking lots will remain closed throughout the day Monday and into Tuesday to allow staff to properly clear the accumulated snow.

The County will post any updates to the County of Berks homepage at countyofberks.com, on County social media channels and through the local media.
