Update: Two arrested in connection to Reading double shooting
Original post: A 22-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were rushed to the hospital overnight and remain in serious condition Monday morning following a shooting that took place on the corner of North 13th and Green Streets in the City of Reading.
Reading Police officers responded around 11:30pm Sunday to the intersection for the report of a shooting with multiple victims. Upon arrival, a man and teen were located with gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to Reading Hospital for treatment. As of Monday morning, police say they were in serious condition.
A witness, who wanted to remain anonymous, told Berks Weekly the incident began at the Turkey Hill Convenience Store with an argument between the victims and another person.
A little while later, while police had the intersection closed for the investigation, a vehicle drove through the crime scene and fled down Green Street, following what appeared to be a few heated words with a group of people further down the block.
Police did not release any suspect information as of Monday morning.
