The caller stated in order to close the account they needed the victims PIN number from the card. The number on the caller ID even showed TD Bank. The card number and PIN were used the next day to make withdrawals from ATM’s in Miami,FL.

“A bank will NEVER ask for it nor can they see it. These scammers are also using programs to make it appear as if the financial institutions are actually calling” states the Douglass Township Police Department. “If you are unsure, you can either hang up and call them back or call your local law enforcement and ask questions.”
