A kutztown man is facing aggravated assault and related charges following a shooting that took place on January 2 around 9:42pm at a residence in the 1500 block of Moselem Springs Road in Perry Township, according to a Pennsylvania State Police Hamburg public information release report.
The victim, a 20-year-old male from Kirkwood, PA, suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg from a handgun. Information on what lead to the shooting was not provided in the report, but state police said they promptly apprehend the suspect, identified as Nicholas Flammer, a 21-year-old male from Kutztown, PA.
Flammer faces charges of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering, simple assault, and harassment. Following legal proceedings, he was unable to post bail and was committed to Berks County Prison.
Police say the victim received medical treatment at Reading Hospital for his injuries and has since been released.
