A man was shot in the leg while attempting to break up a fight outside a Penn Street bar/restaurant Wednesday in Reading, police said.
The incident happened in the 800 block of Penn Street, when the victim, a 28 year old man, tried to break up a fight outside of the Italian Garden Bar/Restaurant.

Police have identified Jeremy Galindez as the shooter. Galindez was taken into custody on September 9, 2021, and charged with Aggravated Assault, including lesser charges and firearms-related crimes.
Galindez is not allowed to possess a firearm by law and is currently in custody at Berks County Prison.
