Police are conducting an investigation after a person walked into a local hospital with gunshot wound, according to the Reading Police Department.
A man showed up at Penn State Health St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bern Township Thursday night with a gunshot wound to the leg.
According to investigators, the man said he was breaking up a fight when he was shot. He also gave police multiple locations along Schuylkill Avenue as to where the incident occurred. However, nothing was found for a crime scene when police searched the area.
The investigation is ongoing.
