On March 7, 2024, at approximately 9:24 PM, officers from the Reading Police Department rushed to the scene at the 400 block of Lehigh Street following reports of a shooting. According to police, a 25-year-old female victim, who was seated inside a parked vehicle, sustained gunshot wounds to her leg from multiple shots fired by unidentified individuals.
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was swiftly transported to Reading Hospital for urgent medical care. Fortunately, her injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, and she is currently receiving treatment.
According to initial reports, the suspects are believed to be two Hispanic males dressed in dark clothing. However, no further details about their identities have been provided at this time.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, aiming to identify and apprehend those responsible.
