Conrad Weiser Theatre Company launches inaugural season for 2024-2025

The Conrad Weiser Theatre Company (CWTC) has officially launched its inaugural season for the 2024-2025 school year, marking a significant milestone in the school’s long-standing tradition of performing arts. The formation of CWTC coincides with the 65th anniversary of Conrad Weiser High School Musicals, and aims to unify and enhance all aspects of theatre arts at Conrad Weiser High School.

Led by Director Hope L. O’Pake, CWTC plans to go beyond traditional musical and play productions by offering a range of artistic opportunities. Students will have access to master classes, guest speakers, readers’ theatre, workshops, educational trips, cabarets, and concerts. These initiatives will provide students with the chance to collaborate with professionals from local, regional, and national backgrounds, fostering artistic growth and real-world experience.

No tickets are required for this event.

The season continues on November 15th and 16th with Class Acts: A Night of One-Act Plays at 7:30 PM. Audiences will enjoy three comedies: Every Novel You Read in High School (in 25 Minutes or Less) by Ian McWethy, Places in Five by Jason Pizzarello & M.G. Davidson, and Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Your Teachers (But Were Afraid to Ask) by Jason Pizzarello. Advance tickets are available for $5 at cwtheatreco.org.

CWTC will conclude its season with the highly anticipated Anastasia: The Musical on April 4th and 5th, 2025. The performances will take place on Friday at 7:30 PM, and Saturday at both 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM. The musical, featuring music and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and a book by Terrence McNally, promises a sweeping tale of romance and intrigue.
