Berks Arts Council has announced the cancellation of the 30th Anniversary Bandshell Concert Series, which is held annually in Reading’s City Park in July.
In light of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent outdoor event restrictions, Berks Arts Council had re-scheduled the Bandshell Concert Series from July to September of this year.
The organization attempted various efforts to mitigate the cancellation, but organizers say the health and safety of the community, the artists, vendors, and patrons are their highest priority.
“In support of the City of Reading and County of Berks Stop the Spread efforts, the Bandshell Concert Series will return in 2021 and we invite the community to help celebrate our 30th Anniversary” says officials in a press release.
The new dates for 2021 are Friday July 9, 16, 23 and 30.
