Temple Halloween Parade, Haunted Hollow Festivities return to Muhlenberg Township

The Muhlenberg Parks & Recreation Department has announced the return of the Temple Halloween Parade and the Haunted Hollow activities at Jim Dietrich Park.

Come and enjoy the sounds of local High School Bands, The Buccaneer Alumni Band, car groups, Fire truck from around Berks County, floats designed by local businesses and various community youth groups. The parade should last about 2 hours. Some food vendors will be stationed along the parade route.

The parade is a tradition for the Temple Community. This year’s parade will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at 6pm with a rain date of Sunday October 3rd at 4pm. The parade will follow Sharp Ave. down to Kutztown Rd., make a left and head north on Kutztown Rd. to Mt. Laurel Ave., make a left onto Mt. Laurel and disband at 7th Avenue.

Jim Dietrich Park will host the Haunted Hollow Family Fun Fest and Hay Ride on Saturday October 9th from 11-3pm.

The Fall Family Fun Fest will be filled with family oriented activities including a traditional hayride, pumpkin painting, apple launcher, carnival type games, magic shows by Magic Rich, and more. Food vendors will be available throughout the day.

During the evening hours from Friday, October 8th through Sunday, October 10th from 7-10pm, each night Jim Dietrich park is transformed into a Haunted Hollow.

The park will become haunted along the river with a Haunted Hay ride and the barn will be transformed into a lunatic asylum where you never know what or who will be inside! This event is not for the weak at heart! Enter at your own risk for plenty of fun. Food will be available. Jim Dietrich Park is located at 4900 Stoudt’s Ferry Bridge Rd in Reading 19605.
