Heritage of Green Hills celebrates Health Care Center construction with truss signing

New Personal and Memory Care Building to be Completed Late Spring 2022

Residents and team members from the Heritage of Green Hills, a healthy lifeplan community in Shillington, gathered last month to write positive messages and signatures on a truss that was then hoisted to its spot atop the new Health Care Center.

The Heritage Hotties, a cheerleading squad made up of enthusiastic residents from the community’s independent living neighborhood, were on hand to add spirit and pep to the event as they shook their signature blue and gold pom-poms.

Construction on the new building is on track for a late spring 2022 opening.

“We’re incredibly proud of the thoughtful design that is going into the Health Care Center and its outdoor spaces,” says Heritage of Green Hills Executive Director Doug Walther.

“The wide hallways and oversized windows allow for an abundance of natural light to pour in while also giving residents gorgeous views of the rolling hills and trees on our 78-acre campus.”

Other design highlights include an open kitchen in the dining room that allows residents to watch as their food is being prepared by chefs; a personal care patio with a fountain, a fire pit, and plenty of comfy seating; a secure outdoor garden area full of plants and flowers for memory care residents; a spacious lobby with a cozy area perfect for multigenerational visits; and several bright and inviting gathering and activity spaces inside and out.

The Health Care Center will feature 70 personal care and memory care one-bedroom and studio suites.

“Each of these new spacious apartments has a great view,” explains Walther. “The oversized windows allow natural light to flood in while giving residents a front-row seat to the sprawling natural beauty of The Heritage.”

Each home will include a private bath with top-of-the-line fixtures. The personal care suites will be among the largest assisted-living-style homes available in the market. Each one will include a kitchenette with deluxe finishes.

“We have several future residents and their families interested in the new Health Care Center, but there’s no need to wait to get the deeply personalized and expert care we’re known for,” says Walther.

“People who move to the Heritage now will have first choice of suites in the new building and will be eligible for $6,000 in savings.”
