Learn Pennsylvania Dutch with Berks History Center’s exciting classes

Berks History Center is set to launch an exciting series of Pennsylvania Dutch classes, blending in-person and online experiences, commencing March 5, 2024. Led by seasoned instructors passionate about preserving this rich heritage, the courses promise an engaging exploration of the unique language and traditions of the Pennsylvania Dutch community.

“These courses are designed to introduce participants to the unique language and traditions of this fascinating community,” said BHC Assistant Director, Brad Smith. “Led by experienced instructors who are passionate about preserving this important heritage, our classes offer a fun and interactive way to learn Pennsylvania Dutch.”

BHC’s classes cater to learners at all levels with three different experience tiers, making them suitable for language enthusiasts, history buffs, or those intrigued by various cultures. The courses span eight weeks and will conclude the week of April 21, 2024.

Community members interested in BHC’s Pennsylvania Dutch Classes must register online by Monday, March 4, 2024, at berkshistory.org. Classes cost $70 for BHC members (Individual Level Members and above) and $140 for non-members.
