300 Toys Distributed to Children in Reading by United Community Services

Tables of Children’s toys filled the Reading Parking Authority parking lot on 7th and Penn Street Tuesday afternoon as YouthBuild and United Community Services Distributed hundreds of toys local families.

Provided to children ages 1-17, over 300 toys were given out, collected by a recent community toy donation drive held by employees of the organization.

This is the first toy drive hosted by United Community Services, and organizers are excited to continue the tradition. “It’s our way of giving back during these hard times” said Lori Rich, Financial Manager for United Community Services.

“We had a ton of donors donate toys for us so I would really like to thank all of them. We want to wish everyone a merry Christmas, and we are so appreciative that we were able to do this.”
