The Camel Project, a Reading-based bullying elimination non-profit organization, has announced that it will present its Certified Prevention Specialist Program, Deconstructing the Culture of Bullying: Preventing Bullying-Based Violence (CPS) program, on Sunday, March 24, at 1 pm using the Zoom online platform. Ages 16 and up are encouraged to attend.
The CPS program uses cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and social-emotional learning methodologies. It takes a physiological approach to self-management: awareness, instruction, and regulation, which leads to confidence and stronger relationships with healthy, supportive people.
Program attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of bullying, target, and witness behaviors, the physiology behind bullying, and its role in reducing the effects of the behavior.
Pamela Gockley, Executive Director of The Camel Project, states, “We aim to create and sustain a healthy and safe environment to prevent violence and eliminate Bullying behavior. Our program helps to identify destructive and harmful patterns of thinking.”
The cost for the four-hour training is $25.00. Register online at https://bit.ly/3SORndv
