Police seek public’s help locating missing person, release details on disappearance

The Reading Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a Missing Person, Darlyn De La Rosa-Abreu. De La Rosa-Abreu is described as a 30 year old light-skinned male, 5’9”, 175 lbs., brown hair and brown eyes.

Initially, Police put out the Missing Person Advisory on August 11, 2021, as they believed he may be at special risk of harm or injury. Today, Reading Police have released new information, stating they do not believe De La Rosa-Abreu left the area voluntarily and is treating his disappearance as suspicious.

According to authorities, De La Rosa-Abreu was last seen picking up a taxi fare passenger in his vehicle on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at approximately 1:41am, near the area of North 10th and Walnut Street, then exiting the City of Reading via the Penn Street Bridge. De La Rosa-Abreu was last seen operating his 2015 White Toyota Corolla bearing PA license plate #KTT-2497. De La Rosa-Abreu’s vehicle is also still missing.
