Weis Markets donates pet food to Berks ARL through Paws for Pets campaign

Weis Markets expanded its annual Paws for Pets campaign this week with a donation of pet food to Animal Rescue League of Berks County during an event held Tuesday, May 19, at the company’s Reading store.

As part of the campaign, Weis Markets donated eight cases of Weis Quality pet food to the local shelter. The donation included four cases of Healthy Puppy formula, two cases of Peak Performance, and two cases of Beef & Brown Rice dog food.

According to the company, the donation is intended to support dogs of various ages and nutritional needs at the shelter.

The pet food contribution is part of Weis Markets’ broader Paws for Pets initiative, which includes in-store fundraising efforts throughout May to support local animal shelters and rescue organizations across the region. Weis Markets said food donations will be distributed to 24 organizations serving communities where the company operates.

The donated products are part of the company’s newer Weis Quality pet food line, which Weis Markets said was developed to offer customers trusted quality and value.
