The West Reading Borough Police Department recently received a ballistic and stab resistant vest for K9 Zea, donated by nonprofit Hounds On Working Leashes. The vest is manufactured by K9 Tactical Gear.
H.O.W.L. is a non-profit organization which raises funds for the purpose of saving the lives of emergency service dogs, by providing, ballistic vest, cleaning tubs, training, food, and any other supplies that a departments need.
Founded in 2012, H.O.W.L. has assisted close to 100 different K9’s in multiple states all across the United States of America.
“The West Reading Police Department, along with myself and K9 Zea are extremely grateful for this life saving vest which HOWL has generously donated” said K-9 Officer Brandon Breitenstein.
“We would also like to again thank ‘Your Pet Experts’ of Wyomissing for providing food, bedding and some treats for K9 Zea.”
