United Way campaign incentive makes the holiday extra special for Reading Man

The holiday season often makes for memorable moments. For Juan Argamonte of Reading, this year’s holiday is especially one to remember since he received a brand new RAV4 on Thursday at Kelly Auto Group in Hamburg.

Argamonte won the car by contributing to the 2021 United Way campaign through his employer, East Penn Manufacturing. Kelly Auto provided the car incentive, along with support from United Way LIVE UNITED sponsors.

“Winning this car was such a surprise; I’m still having a hard time believing I won this,” said Agramonte. “I started working at East Penn a few months ago and began contributing to United Way at that time. They are a good organization.”

The car incentive was offered as a campaign incentive to donors contributing $5.00 or more per week to the 2021 United Way campaign. United Way raised $11 million in 2021 to invest in more than 80 programs, initiative and grants around its focus areas of education, financial stability, health and safety net services. Each year, more than 150,000 people are helped through United Way programs.

“A tradition of the campaign is to have incredible incentives provided by remarkable partners. For the past 10 years, Freedom Auto Group, with the Live United Partners, has generously provided a brand new car to give away to a lucky donor. The dealership is now under new ownership with Kelly Auto Group, and we’re thrilled to have Greg Kelly and his team continue the tradition and support United Way to make a difference and support community needs,” shared Tammy White, President of United Way of Berks County.
