“Dear Parent or Guardian:

The Exeter Township School District considers the health and well-being of our students, staff and community to be of the utmost importance. It is with that in mind that this email is being sent for your information.

As you may be aware, since July we have had three ETSD athletes test positive for COVID-19, with two of those in just the past week on two different teams. Per the new PDE guidelines released this week, with two positive cases within the last 14 days it is recommended to shut down schools/activities for 3-5 days. At this point, we think it is prudent to suspend all current sports teams’ voluntary workouts from Monday, August 17 – Saturday, August 22. High School and Junior High Football will restart with PIAA Heat Acclimatization on Monday, August 31.

Symptoms of COVID 19 may include, but are not limited to, fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, or new loss of taste or smell. We recommend that you review the guidelines from the CDC and contact your health care professional with questions or if your child shows signs of any of the symptoms listed above.”
